To create our copyrighted Baby Heart Art design, we ask that you capture the preferred image (m-mode or pulsed doppler) and then choose from one of the following options:

Save the image in a JPEG format and download it directly to us (as an attached file) to downloads@babyheartart.com*
OR
-
Create a CD with the JPEG image and give it to your patient.
(For your convenience, your patient may have our blank CD with her! Please inquire.) Of course we are happy to send you a replacement CD at your request. *
OR
- Print a thermal image and simply give it to your patient.
Whether you are obtaining the m-mode or pulsed doppler image, it is an easy process.
We have found that the best images are obtained in the four-chamber view, scanning directly over the tricuspid or mitral valve. The image can be acquired in black and white, or in any of the colors offered by your machine's manufacturer. The most important thing is to try to keep the heart tracing symmetrical throughout the entire frame. (This may be best accomplished by having the patient hold her breath.) Please refer to the following examples:
FOR THE M-MODE SCAN
This image was obtained with the GE Voluson 730 and the color is "candle."
FOR THE PULSED DOPPLER SCAN
The following image was taken with the GE Voluson in the color "ice" showing the distinct systole and diastole pattern.
